HD-Überwachung is an owner-run specialist company for security, electrical, network and energy technology in Otterbach near Kaiserslautern. Since 2012 we have built systems that we still maintain ourselves ten years on.

HD-Überwachung started in 2012 with what the name says: cameras and security systems for businesses and private homes in Kaiserslautern. It quickly became clear that a good camera needs a good network, a fire alarm system needs a sound electrical installation, and a customer prefers one contact for everything. So we did not buy the trades in – we learned them, got certified and brought them in-house.

Today we cover fire alarm and security systems, electrical installation, network and IT, solar PV, heat pumps and air conditioning – with our own credentials in every field. Not because we want to do a bit of everything, but because these trades meet in every building and it is simpler for you when they come from one source.

Our customers are hotels, banks, practices, schools, church organisations and industrial companies in the Western Palatinate, Saarland and Luxembourg – and homeowners in the region, including many US families and businesses around Ramstein, Landstuhl and Kaiserslautern who want their home safer, better connected or more energy-independent.

Jerry Scheer founded HD-Überwachung in 2012 and still runs the company himself – on site, in design and at acceptance tests. Electrical contractor registered with the grid operators, examined responsible person for fire alarm systems under DIN 14675, high-voltage qualification, refrigerant handling certificate, and external data protection officer for businesses. With roots in Luxembourg he works on both sides of the border as a matter of course – and in English.

What drives him: technology that fits together. A fire alarm system whose transmission path sits cleanly in the network. A PV system whose meter cabinet was checked before the quote, not after. A maintenance contract where the same technician knows the panel, the switch and the distribution board.

The team behind the systems

A small, well-rehearsed team of electrical and security technicians who do not need to get to know each other on site. Everyone masters more than one trade – which is why one van arrives at your building on Monday morning, not three. Our own aerial work platform, our own test equipment for fire alarm, network and electrical testing, spare parts for Telenot, AXIS and common electrical components in stock.

Everything from one source

Fire alarm, network, distribution board, solar – one team plans and builds it all. No interfaces between three contractors, one contact, one set of documentation.

Standards taken seriously

DIN 14675, DIN VDE 0833, DIN VDE 0100 are not footnotes in our quotes but the benchmark we build and test to. We show the certificates before you ask.

Honest assessment

If an existing system is still good, we say so. If a conversion is more economical than the third repair, we say that too. You get a recommendation, not a sales pitch.

Technology we maintain ourselves

We only install what we can still maintain in ten years: Telenot for alarm systems, AXIS for video, brand components in electrical and energy. Spare parts are in stock, not on order.

History

From a camera to a full-service contractor.

2012

HD-Überwachung founded in Kaiserslautern – video surveillance and security systems for businesses and homes.

2017

AXIS Authorized Partner for network video. Entry into fire alarm technology, first projects as a subcontractor for system integrators.

2021

Telenot installer for fire alarm, intrusion alarm and transmission systems. Examination as responsible person under DIN 14675.

2022

Certified as a fire alarm contractor under DIN 14675, phases 6.1 to 11. Installation partner of Chubb.

2024

Air conditioning and refrigeration established as a dedicated division, refrigerant handling certificate. Expansion of solar, battery and heat pump business.

2026

Recertified as a DIN 14675 contractor with validity until 2030.
